To provide a drying apparatus for an underwater decomposition type garbage treating apparatus, in which the dried object obtained by drying a decomposing liquid can be discharged completely from a drying chamber without leaving the dried object in the drying chamber and the decomposing liquid can be dried efficiently.
The underwater decomposition type garbage treating apparatus is constituted so that garbage is thrown in a garbage feeding apparatus and crushed there and the crushed garbage is introduced into a decomposing tank and decomposed with a microbe in the decomposing liquid stored in the decomposing tank. The drying apparatus 6 is connected to the decomposing tank for withdrawing a part of the decomposing liquid, drying the withdrawn decomposing liquid and discharging the dried object. The apparatus 6 is provided with the drying chamber 63 for drying the withdrawn decomposing liquid and a discharge mechanism 64 for discharging the dried object obtained by drying in the chamber 63 to the outside by blowing air into the chamber 63. The mechanism 64 is provided with a blower 67 for blowing air into the chamber 63 and a cyclone 68 for separating/recovering the dried object discharged from the chamber 63 together with the blown air from the blown air.
