To provide a drying apparatus capable of efficiently drying wood powder without using hot air.

The drying apparatus 10 is for drying wood powder, and it is provided with a vertical cylinder like first drying part 20 and a second drying part 30 connected to an outlet 23 of the first drying part 20. An input opening 21 for wood powder is provided in a lower part of the first drying part 20, an air blowing means 22 is for blowing an air current 22c into the first drying part 20, and the outlet 23 of the first drying part 20 is provided in an upper end of the first drying part 20. In the drying apparatus for wood powder, the wood powder put into the first drying part 20 from the input opening 21 is blown in a direction of the air current 22c rising in the first drying part 20 and raised to the upper end of the first drying part 20, the wood powder and air current 22c having passed the outlet 23 of the first drying part 20 is lowered in a communication passage 32 of the second drying part 30, and then, the wood powder is taken out from an outlet 33 in a lower part of the second drying part 30.
