To provide a drying apparatus for efficiently mounting work in the space of a drying chamber to enhance processing efficiency, and enhancing heat efficiency to reduce power consumption.

The drying apparatus is provided with the drying chamber 3, a fan 25 circulating heated air in the chamber 3, a rack 9 for stacking and mounting work 8 to be dried in a plurality of stages in the vertical direction, and a carrying means for circulating the rack 9 through the drying chamber 3. The carrying means consists of an endless transmission member (chain 11) wound around a rotation driving member (sprocket 12), and a plurality of the racks 9 are connected to the transmission member, thereby allowing the racks 9 to travel on the floor (base 2) of the drying chamber 3.
