To provide a drying and baking device and a drying and baking method for coated steel capable of preventing deterioration of quality of the coated steel by preventing water vapor condensation to an induction heating coil of an induction heating furnace 3 without accompanying modification in the induction heating furnace lowering induction heating efficiency when carrying out dry baking of a coating of steel continuously applied with an aqueous coating.
The drying and baking device and the drying and baking method for coated steel is characterized by that, in a hot air heating furnace 2, drying of the coating of the steel is finished and evaporation of coating water contents is finished in its furnace length, air is blown from a steel side end outer side between the hot air heating furnace 2 and the induction heating coil 3 so as to cross a steel advancing direction, and intrusion of gas accompanying the steel into the induction heating furnace is prevented. Since the evaporation of the coating water contents is finished in the hot air heating furnace 2, and the water vapor accompanying the steel 4 is blown away by air blowing, preventing intrusion into the induction heating furnace 3, quality deterioration of the coated steel can be prevented.
