To remove water drops on an umbrella without shaking it or using an umbrella holder by arranging a blow-out port discharging a blow from a blower, a sensor for sensing the insertion of the umbrella to an umbrella inserting part and operating the blower and a sensor for stopping the operation of the blower on the inner surface of the umbrella inserting part in a machine body.
An umbrella dryer 1 is constituted by connecting the blower 5 to the hollow machine body 3 having the umbrella inserting part 2 with a duct 4. The umbrella inserting part 2 is made to be a U-shaped oblong groove and, on its inner surface, the blow-out port 7 consisting of freely movable fins 6 is formed. Besides, the umbrella inserting part 2 is provided with a sensor 9 for sensing the insertion of the umbrella 8 and operating the blower 5 and a sensor 10 for sensing the taking-out of the umbrella 8 and stopping the operation of the blower 5. Therefore, when a person inserts the umbrella 8 which becomes wet by rain to the umbrella inserting part 2, the sensor 9 senses, and operates the blower 5 and supplies the blow from the blow-out port 7. Then, the water drops stuck to the umbrella 8 are blown away by the blow and the umbrella 8 is instantaneously dried.
