To provide a drying device permitting the improvement of a drying efficiency by preventing a matter to be dried from staying on a heat transfer surface and contriving the prevention of variety in heating as well as the promotion of circulation, in the drying device having a spiral mixing vane constituted of a plurality of vanes main bodies arranged on a rotary shaft while dividing the same into a plurality of stages and spirally shifting the phases of them sequentially in the radial direction.
The rotary shaft 11 provided at the central part of a cylindrical drying chamber whose inner peripheral surface becomes the heat transfer surface 5 is provided with the spiral mixing vane 10 having a plurality of vane main bodies 13 arranged on the rotary shaft, while dividing the vane into a plurality of stages in the axial direction of the rotary shaft 11 and spirally shifting the phases of the vanes sequentially in the radial direction. The outermost peripheral part of respective vane main bodies 13 of the spiral mixing vane 10 are overlapped to each other by a dimension L in the heightwise direction of the heat transfer surface 5.
