To provide a drying device which can be kept its body clean, and is used for drying wet dishes, clothing, fingers or the like by using clean air without germs, while a drying chamber or a space where the body is installed can be deodorized by operation of the drying device.
The drying device has a photocatalyst layer 3 formed around the drying chamber 2 for drying wet things, a blowing port 4 for blowing air to the drying chamber 2, a blower 5 for supplying air, and an air passage 6. A photocatalyst filter 7 and a lamp 8 for exciting a photocatalyst are provided inside the air passage 6. After light of the lamp 8 passes through the photocatalyst filter 7, the photocatalyst layer 3 is irradiated with the light for supplying clean air to the drying chamber 2 so that the body is kept clean. Deodorization of a room is performed by blowing air to and irradiating the photocatalyst filter 7 with light.
