To provide a drying device, in which powder dust or the like does not fall off and adhere to a thin plate workpiece that is dried on both sides while being held by a hanger and conveyed without contact in a drying chamber, and which prevents dust from generating above the workpiece and can miniaturize the device.
The device includes: a hanger transfer part 7 in which a hanger insertion part 8a holds the hanger H holding the workpiece W to be transferred in the drying chamber 2 in a raised attitude in a chain rotation direction, the hanger insertion part 8a being provided at a predetermined pitch on an endless belt chain 8 which goes around in the drying chamber 2 where dry wind circulates; and a hanger return part 10 that separates the workpiece W from the hanger H transferred by the hanger transfer part 7 to send out the workpiece downstream, and sends out the hanger H separated from the workpiece W upstream in a workpiece conveying direction to prepare the following workpiece holding.
