PURPOSE: To obtain a highly reliable elecrodeposition substrate by drying an elecrrodeposition substrate under a condition, where the longitudinal direction of a segment electrode row arranged and formed on the electrodeposition substrate surface is made horizontal, and the electrodeposition substrate is installed in a direction in which the electrodeposition substrate surface is not made parallel to the horizontal surface.
CONSTITUTION: An electrodeposition substrate 6 is formed with an Al electrode 2, patterned on a glass substrate 1, and a fine segment electrode 4, composed of a resist 3 arranged and formed on the substrate 1, and a fluorescent material particle is electrodeposited on the electrode 4 to form a fluorescent surface 5. When the electrodeposition substrate 6 is taken out from an electrodeposition liquid to be dried, the substrate 6 is fixedly mounted to a jig 7 to be dried so as to make the longitudinal direction of the segment electrode 4 horizontal and so as not to make the substrate 6 surface a horizontal surface. The drying of the substrate 6 with tilted by an angle θto the horizontal surface causes the electrodeposition liquid 8, stuck on the fluorescent surface 5, to be easily flowed, resulting a fluorescent material particle 9, dispersed in the electrodeposit liquid 8, to be also flowed down together, allowing the substrate 6 to be dried without the residue of the fluorescent material particle 9 on the substrate 6 surface.
