Abstract:
To shorten furnace length to reduce energy loss by drying properly even if shortening the time required for radiation and heating without reducing conveyance speed.
A drying furnace for painting is constituted by forming a radiation heating zone 4 for raising temperature of a workpiece W up to predetermined temperature by radiation heat of a heating duct arranged along the direction of conveyance on an inlet side of a tunnel passage 3 for drying a paint film while conveying the workpiece W by a conveyor 2. A steam discharge pipe 9 for spraying superheated steam for a radiation panel 7 from its rear surface side is arranged in the heating duct 6 in which a front side opposing to the workpiece W becomes the radiation panel 7.
