The drying furnace 1 blows a hot wind to the vehicle body 2 being transported so as to dry its surfaces and is equipped with a body support 8, a hot wind supply duct 12, a blowout nozzle 11 of telescopic structure, etc. At the time of transport, the vehicle body 2 is placed on the support 8. The hot wind duct 12 supplies hot wind into the furnace. The blowout nozzle 11 of telescopic structure is arranged protruding into the furnace from the duct 12 so that the nozzle tip is positioned contacting with the side edge of the support 8 directly or indirectly. The tip of the nozzle 11 touches the side edge of the support 8 and is pressed. At this time, the nozzle 11 contracts passively in the direction of the nozzle base end in accordance with the pressing amount.
