To improve drying performance at the start of a drying operation when cleaning is performed with hot water in washing.
A drying machine includes: a heat pump device 41; an air passage 19 for introducing drying air to a drum 4, the air passage comprising a radiator 23 and a heat sink 22 disposed therein; a blower 21 for blowing air into the air passage 19; air passage temperature detection means 34 for detecting a temperature in the air passage 19; heating means 30 for heating a compressor 25; compressor temperature detection means 31 for detecting a temperature of the compressor 25; hot water cleaning setting means 36d for setting washing with heated hot water; and control means 35 for controlling a washing operation and a drying operation. The control means 35 detects temperatures of the air passage 19 and the compressor 25 before starting the compressor 25 when hot water cleaning is set by the hot water cleaning setting means 36d, and heats the compressor 25 when the temperature of the air passage 19 is higher than the temperature of the compressor 25.
