PURPOSE: To permit the drying of a bearing continuously in a short period of time without employing any organic solvent while preventing it from trouble due to heat and the generation of rusting by a method wherein the bearing, sent on a line after washing through water system washing, is sealed into a sealed vessel and the sealed vessel is evacuated while the bearing in said sealed vessel is heated simultaneously.
CONSTITUTION: The sealed vessel of a drying device is constituted of a bottom force 1 and a top force 5. A work 8, sent on a line continuously, is slid on the upper surface of a work guide 2 to load it at a given position, then, the bottom force 1 and the top force 5 are connected to contact them closely. Thereafter, a solenoid valve 4 is put ON and a space 20 in the sealed vessel is evacuated to 0.1-0.3atm. Subsequently, the power supply of a high-frequency heating device 6 is put ON to heat the work 8 to obtain the temperature of the work 8 of 50-80°C and dry it. Thereafter, the power supply of the high-frequency heating device 6 is put OFF and the solenoid valve 4 is put OFF, then, the top force 5 is separated from the bottom force 1. In this case, the pressure of the space 20 in the sealed vessel is increased suddenly to an atmospheric pressure whereby the work 8 is dried sufficiently further.
