Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying method for resin particles that is used for drying resin particles in loop piping by using a drying device having a flash dryer including the loop piping, a resin particle supply section, a gas discharge section and a discharge section and that enables reduction in the content of coarse powder compared to the case where a moisture percentage of the resin particles discharged from the discharge section is less than 5 mass%, and the drying device.SOLUTION: In a method for drying resin particles, the resin particles are dried in loop piping 12 by using a drying device 1 including: a flash dryer 10 having the loop piping 12, a supply section 14, a gas discharge section 16, a discharge section 18 and a collecting section 20 provided in the discharge section 18; and a capturing section 22 having a filter 28. The discharged resin particles are captured by the capturing section 22, and the moisture percentage of the resin particles collected by the collecting section 20 is controlled to 5 mass% or more and 15 mass% or less. The drying device includes the flash dryer 10, the capturing section 22 and control means for controlling the moisture percentage of the resin particles to 5 mass% or more and 15 mass% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
