To provide a drying method and device for effectively dry an object to be dried with excellent thermal efficiency.
The drying method is the one for storing the object to be dried in a drum 5 turnably arranged in a dryer body 3, turning the drum 5, blowing hot wind to the object to be dried from at least one end side of the drum 5, so as to dry the object, blowing cool wind to the object to be dried in the drum 5 from one end side of the drum 5 in order to cool the object, and discharging the object to be dried from the other end side of the drum 5, while cooling the object with the cool wind. The device includes: the drum 5, which freely stores the object to be dried, in the dryer main body 3, so as to be freely turnable; a heater 15 for heating outer air; and a hot wind blowing means 17 for blowing air heated by the heater 15 to the inner part of the drum 5 as the hot wind from at least one end side of the drum 5.
