Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying method of fuel rods accommodated in a fuel rod cylinder which is prominent in the easiness of execution and high performance, and in which a water quantity intruding into a particular fuel rod can be reduced to a residual water content which is allowable for the storage of dried fuel rods during the storage of the fuel rods in, for example, a sedation tank.SOLUTION: At least one accommodation pipe 9 whose one side is liquid-tightly closed is arranged in an inside chamber 13 of a fuel rod cylinder 1, fuel rods passing through an open end of the accommodation pipe 9 are inserted into an accommodation space of the accommodation pipe 9, the fuel rods are vacuum-drawn preferably by a vacuum drawing device at a drying stage in the accommodation space of the accommodation pipe 9, and the fuel rod cylinder 1 and/or the inside chamber 13 of the fuel rod cylinder 1 are optimized in temperatures by temperature optimization mediums, and preferably, heated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
