Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unify a temperature distribution in a drying device, eliminate the danger of igniting and permit the drying of waste in a small space by supplying heat into a drying chamber and charging granular incombustible filler into the drying chamber together with the waste to mix the waste and the filler.
SOLUTION: High-temperature silica sand, entered a drying chamber 15 through a connecting pipe 5, and wet waste, entered the drying chamber 15 through a waste supplying pipe 12, are sent rightward while being mixed by a screw vane 17, driven by a motor 14 so as to be rotated. Then, the waste is dried by the heat of the silica sand and, thereafter, the dried waste and the silica sand, which is deprived of heat and which has become a low temperature, are discharged out of an opening 19. The waste and silica sand, which are discharged out of the drying device 1, are sent into a fluidized bed furnace 2 by a proper transfer device through a waste and silica sand supplying pipe 6 whereby the waste is incinerated and the silica sand is heated again to a high temperature.
