PURPOSE: To eliminate dispersion of dirt, odor of matter to be treated and to obviate an obstruction to an environmental sanitation by arranging a mixer for introducing the outside air to mix it with steam on the way of a discharge passage and an oxidation catalyst provided at a downstream side of the mixer to bring it into contact with discharged steam.
CONSTITUTION: Matter 16 to be treated and filled in a vessel 1 is uniformly heated by heat radiation from a heater 13, convection and spraying of warm air while agitating and finely dividing by rotatably driving the oblique or horizontal vessel 1 by a driver 11, and moisture in the matter 16 to be treated is rapidly evaporated without irregularity to fine parts to suppress thermal decomposition of the matter 16 to be treated. Steam to be discharged out of the vessel 1 via a discharge passage 17 is mixed with the outside air to be introduced to a mixer 19 by the mixer 19 on the way of the passage 17, supplied with oxygen necessary to react with oxidation catalyst 23, then brought into contact with the catalyst 23 of a downstream side, and reacted vigorously to be sufficiently deodorized.
