PURPOSE: To carry out a drying storage of agricultural and fishery products at a higher efficiency with a high quality by detecting the degree of drying of an object to be treated comprising agricultural and fishery products in a storage chamber to switch an air-conditioning apparatus to cooling operation from dehumidifying operation automatically when a detected value reaches a specified value.
CONSTITUTION: In a heat pump type air-conditioning unit 4, a room equipment portion 4A and an outdoor equipment portion 4B are arranged being integrated between a suction side damper chamber 5 ands a recycling side damper chamber 9. In the room equipment portion 4A, a heat exchanger 15, a condenser 16 and a fan 17 are arranged in series and mounted inside an air tunnel 18. A switching is made freely between dehumidifying operation for drying treatment to cool and dehumidify air supplied in circulation to a storage chamber 1 with an evaporator 15 and reheat it with the condenser 16 and cooling operation for cooling the air with the evaporator 15. Here, the degree of drying of an object G comprising agricultural and fishery products in the storage chamber 1 is detected. As a result, when the object G reaches a specified degree of drying, the air-conditioning apparatus 4 is switched over to the cooling operation from the dehumidifying operation automatically.
