Abstract:
PURPOSE: To strap properly, efficiently and safely, in a powered strapping machine that straps articles by soft belts without resting the strapping machine for a long time by providing a plurality of feeding coils and automatically switching these.
CONSTITUTION: A dual coil powered strapping machine 20 includes strapping device 24 and a soft-touch package compression device 26. The strapping device 24 consists of a frame 28, a dual coil unit 30, a guiding unit 32 a storage chamber 34 and a chute apparatus 36, while the soft-touch package compression device 26 consists of a shaft 48, a vertical chain driving unit 150, an air cylinder 152 and a flexible belt 154. It is further provided with an electric control system 81 that conducts automated control by issuing instructions to proper driving devices in response to signals from a plurality of sensors relating to each device.
