Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual mold drum brake which can pull out a cable from the opposite side to a wheel cylinder while lengthening a parking lever.
SOLUTION: A parking lever 38 is connected to an intermediate lever 34 so as to turn relatively around an axis perpendicular to a backing plate 10 by a connection pin 36 in the part of the wheel cylinder 22 side of a brake shoe 14 and a first strut 28 is moved by a large lever ratio to the parking lever 38 and also a cable 40 is taken out from a lower side part. When the parking lever 38 is turned to the brake shoe 12 side around the axis of the connection pin 36 at the parking brake time, the brake shoes 12, 14 are separated mutually through the first strut 28, the parking lever 38, the intermediate lever 34, a second strut 44 and a large brake force by a servo effect is generated at the operation time of following rotational torque.
