PURPOSE: To raise the easiness of work for piping and installation by providing a selection means to select the correspondence between the controllers that are disposed respectively at a plurality of air conditioning spaces and the opening and closing means that controls the communication between indoor units and blow-out units.

CONSTITUTION: A duct type air conditioner has an outdoor unit 2 and indoor unit 3, and conditioned air that is produced in the indoor unit 3 is led to a branch chamber 4 by a duct 23, and it is blown out to a plurality of spaces to be conditioned (rooms 39, 40, 41) from respective blow-out units 5-9 through ducts 29-33. Respective ducts 29-33 are provided with opening and closing dampers 34-38 that are driven by actuators 42-46. In this case respective spaces to be air-conditioned are provided with controllers 10-12 and those controllers 10-12 and respective opening and closing dampers 34-38 are made to select correspondence thereof through rotary switches of same number as that of the actuators 42-46 that are provided in a branch chamber controller 4.
