Abstract:
To provide a non-bladdered vertical fuel tank for a ducted fan aircraft.
A ducted fan aircraft contains a pod 12 releasably connected to a core aircraft of a ducted fan aircraft and a vertical non-bladdered fuel tank 10 accommodated in the pod. The vertical fuel tank is centered between the front part 14 and rear part 16 of the pod, and includes in the floor 20 thereof an outlet 18 located adjacent to a sidewall on the front side thereof. The outlet is coupled to a draw tube 24 accommodated in the core aircraft. The vertical fuel tank contains a pressure release hole 26 situated at the highlight part 28 of the pod duct.
