Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the drop of a substance through a gap between a cage and an elevator hall.
CONSTITUTION: A shield member 12 arranged at the lower part of a cage 1 in such a manner to protrude and retract from the front of the cage 1 is provided. A gap shielding device is provided in such a manner that when the cage l is stopped at an elevator hall 7 and a cage door 3 is opened, the shield member 12 is protruded to close a gap between the cage 1 and the elevator hall 7.
