Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dummy head for vehicle crash test, which measures the impact strength acting on a human eyeball caused by a rapidly expanded airbag at the time of a vehicle crash test, and can accurately measure a predicted harm value of the eyeball.
SOLUTION: The eyeball harm value measuring device, which is disposed inside a skull bone section of a dummy in order to measure the impact strength acting on skull bone parts and eyeball parts at the time of a vehicle crash, is composed of a housing which is filled inside with compressed gas, a compression cylinder which is fixed at one side in the housing and has an aperture at the edge opening into the inside of the housing for connecting between the inside and the outside of the housing, a piston which is movably inserted into the compression cylinder and has an impact plate at the edge receiving the transmission of impact strength from the outside of the housing, and a pressure sensor which is mounted at one side in the housing and detects the change of pressure in the housing.
