Abstract:

To acquire similar test or experiment results as collision prediction of vehicles with millimeter-wave radars against actual pedestrians by employing dummy dolls.

The dummy doll 10 is realized by enclothing a dummy object 11 mimicking human body which is produced from materials of low reflectance of radiowave with fabric clothes 12. Collision prediction tests or experiments with millimeter-wave radars are conducted by swaying clothes 12 with a blower 14. Swaying of clothes 12 brings about measured results by millimeter-wave radars similar to those for actual human. Moreover, swaying of clothes 12 may be possible by vibrating or moving of the dummy doll 10 instead of blowing. Also, building reflectors onto the dummy object 11 permits to change reflective conditions of the reflector.
