Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make the life of a stamper longer, by providing nitride, carbide or oxide of the 4th or 5th roup such as titanium on the surface of the stamper.
CONSTITUTION: The life of a stamper can be made longer by 3W10 times, by coating nitride, carbide or oxide of the 4th or 5th element group on the surface of a nicked stamper with an ion plating method. Among the elements of the 4th or 5th group, Hf, Nb, Ta, Ti are especially effective as evaporating materials, and remarkable long life effect can be achieved by using TiN or TiC.
