Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a numerical analysis and shorten the analysis time by modelling a tire being non-linear composite parts in the form of linear element, and analyzing the tire.
SOLUTION: In modelling a tire part in the form of a linear element, two-dimensional shell element, one-dimensional beam element or three-dimensional solid element method can be used and a also method combining the above methods can be used. A pneumatic pressure of the tire part, pressure contact effect in a tire bead part, an additional load input through the contact between a drum and the tire, and the like are treated as direct loads, and thereby the analysis model is simplified from the non-linear analysis to the linear analysis. Accordingly, the modelling of tire part in the stress analysis model of drum durability test is simplified, and by dealing the non-linear tire as the linear form the analysis time is reduced, and a stress of wheel generated by the drum durability test can be estimated easily by the computer simulation analysis, which leads to reduction of the number of test times and the developping time.
