Abstract:
To provide a detecting method of dust accumulation in a water seal portion of a converter skirt seal device that enables planned dust removal by solving a problem of detecting abnormal accumulation of dust in the water seal portion of a seal jacket before a converter skirt cannot rise.SOLUTION: The detecting method of dust accumulation comprises a step of measuring a pressure rise time from a time when rise of a converter skirt 4 starts to the time when pressures of each of the plurality of hydraulic cylinders 3 reach an upper limit pressure, and further a step of determining that a state of the dust accumulation in a water seal portion 7 of a seal jacket 5 deviates from a permissible range when at least one of the pressure rise times of the plurality of hydraulic cylinders 3 exceeds a predetermined threshold value of the pressure rise time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
