To provide a dust collecting device capable of utilizing compressed air in a factory or the like having a compressed air source, different from a general electric dust collector, and to provide a dust collecting device for chips capable of preventing chips generated by an air drill using compressed air from scattering around by utilizing compressed air fed from the air drill.

This device comprises a collecting container 8 formed cylindrical, opened downward, and provided with an air feed port 12 at an upper part of a side wall to form a one-way air current along the side wall by colliding compressed air with a facing wall, and a discharge port 13 at a downstream part of the air current to discharge chips 15 which move with air, and a containing body to take the air and the dust sent from the discharge port 13 to contain the dust 15 while discharging air.
