Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector for a melting furnace that can collect soot dust and fume etc. generated from molten metal while covering the surface of the molten metal with combustion prevention gas and that prevents efficiency of various works from being reduced.SOLUTION: A dust collector for a melting furnace includes: a furnace body 3 having an opening 3a on the upper side thereof; an annular combustion prevention gas supply pipe 6 connected to a combustion prevention gas supply device and installed along an edge of the opening 3a; and an annular dust collecting pipe 7 connected to the dust collector and installed along the combustion prevention gas supply pipe 6 at a position higher than that of the pipe 6. The combustion prevention gas supply pipe 6 includes a combustion prevention gas discharge port 6a for discharging the combustion prevention gas supplied from the combustion prevention gas supply device downwards or obliquely downwards over the perimeter, and the dust collecting pipe 7 includes a gas suction port 7a for sucking gas within the annular shape over the perimeter.
