Abstract:

To provide a dust collector easily discharging dust and a vacuum cleaner using the same.

This vacuum cleaner includes a dust collection box 11a having a suction port 9 at its front part, an upstream filter 27 provided to close the rear part of the dust collection box 11a and having one end turning relative to the dust collection box 11a, a downstream filter 40 provided to close the rear part of the upstream filter 27 and catching dust passing through the upstream filter 27, and an extension part provided extending in the substantially perpendicular direction to the upstream filter 27, wherein the extension part 45 is positioned on the side of a turning center 11b of the upstream filter 27 in the dust collection box 11a between the turning center 11b and the suction port 9, and when disposing of the dust accumulated in the dust collection box 11a, the dust is scraped out by the extension part 45 provided at the upstream filter 27 to easily discharge the dust to the outside.
