To provide a dust collector which can prevent a possible electric shock or the like even when water or the like is sucked erroneously in a type which detects the clogging of a filter in it and automatically removes dust.
A dust collector which has a tank including a suction port for housing the dust, an air absorber for sucking the dust, a base for supporting the air absorber, a filter device for trapping the dust and a dust removal means for removing the dust stuck on the filter device has an insulating transformer which electrically insulates the drive power source of the dust removal means from that of the air absorber. The insulating transformer is disposed on the side of the air absorber of the base.
