Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector having a wide effective dust collection region with a large volume of air and not having filter clogging for a long time.SOLUTION: In a cyclone type dust collector (1) comprising a swirling chamber (40) being cylindrical and having a horizontal cross section of an octagon and a fan chamber (41), dust-containing air is taken in from a suction port (13) disposed at the side wall of the swirling chamber (40), dust is separated by generating a swirling flow in the swirling chamber (40), the dust is collected by a main filter (35) disposed at a center axis position in the swirling chamber (40) and air cleaned in the swirling chamber (40) is flown to the fan chamber (41). The dust collector is provided with a blower (31) exhausting air outside and a guide plate (38) to introduce the sucked air to the side wall of the swirling chamber at the suction port (13).
