Abstract:
To provide a dust core having a constitution suitable for both high frequency characteristics and mass-productivity, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.
The manufacturing method of the dust core includes a process of obtaining a compact by pressure forming of a mixture of magnetic powder and a binder. The magnetic powder: is obtained by subjecting mixture powder of iron oxide powder and powder containing carbon to heat treatment in a non-oxidizing atmosphere; includes metal particulates having Fe as a main component and graphite coating the metal particulates; has an average particle size of 2.0 to 15.0 m; and has a space factor of the magnetic powder in the dust core after pressure formation within a range of 70 to 98 vol.%.
