To provide a dust cover that does not cause the problem that the diameter-expanding deformation of a lower portion by swelling makes it easy for dust to enter the seal portion of a shock absorber, and furthermore that the dust cover is damaged by being clamped by a coil spring as the result of the diameter-expanding deformation of the lower portion.
The upper end of this dust cover 60 is fixed at the side of a piston rod 14 in the state that its lower end enters downward inside a lower spring sheet 52 which forms a dish shape of an inverted taper shape for receiving the lower end of the coil spring 58, and that an annular space is formed between the inside surface of the lower end and the outside surface of a cylinder 12 of the shock absorber 10. In this dust cover, an annular diameter-expansion restricting ring 74, which prevents the diameter-expanding deformation of the lower end, is attached to the lower end.
