Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it difficult for a dust cover to be drawn out from other members in an arrangement in which a ring is embedded in the neighborhood of the two ends of an approx. cylindrical cover body made of soft material, by making the ring in the form of a truncated polygonal pyramid having a plurality of angled parts at the bore at least. CONSTITUTION:A dust cover 5 is in such a constitution that a ring 11 made of a hard material such as metal is embedded in the neighborhood of the bottom and the top of an approx. cylindrical cover body 6 made of rubber or soft resin. This ring 11 has a plurality of angled parts 12 at its bore and a plurality of angled parts 13 at the periphery to constitute a truncated polygonal pyramid. Folded/bent lines 14 are formed between the middle point of the angled part 12 at the ring bore and the end piece at the periphery of the ring. This lessens the force required to insert the ring 11 into plate 22 and increases the force for drawing off by allowing the edges of the polygon formed at the bore of the ring 11 to bite in the plate 22 when the dust cover 55 is to be drawn out.
