Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust removal device that effectively removes dust attached to a screen of a water intake in a water jet propelled ship.
SOLUTION: In a water jet propelled ship, a plurality of movable bars 7 are installed below a screen 8 arranged in a water intake 6, such that the plurality of movable bars are randomly rotatably urged toward the water intake in an ordinary state with base ends thereof being rotatably fitted to a front edge portion of the water intake 6. Further, a lift bar 12 is installed between the movable bar 7 and the screen 8, thereby the movable bars 7 are rotated one after another in the direction that leaves the screen 8. By rotating the movable bars 7, the dust attached to the movable bar 7 is made to float and flow in the backward direction. At that time, the screen 8 can be cleaned while preventing the dust from being caught by covering the screen 8 with one of other movable bars 7.
