PURPOSE:To remove dirt every jacket removing operation and to prevent effectively dirt which enters the gap between a blade and a clamp from sticking the tip of a bare fiber by fitting a dirt removing arm in the gap movably in the vertical direction, and energizing it by a spring in an extruding direction, and also guiding the arm by a guide pin with a stopper. CONSTITUTION:When a couple of clamps are closed, a dirt removing arm presser 24 provided in the gap of one clamp abuts on the dirt removing arm 11 in the gap of the other clamp to intrude the arm inward in the gap against the spring 13. The jacket atop the jacket line is removed and then when the couple of clamps are opened mutually, the spring 13 pushes out the dirt removing arm 11. The insides of the gaps are cleaned by the extruding operation of the dirt removing arm 11. Every time the clamps are opened or closed, the insides of the gaps are cleaned automatically by the dirt removing arm, so no dirt is accumulated in the gaps.
