Abstract:

To propose a dust separation dust collection unit that does not impair convenience of portability, has a height dimension of the dust separation dust collection unit suppressed and can be easily reduced in size, and further to propose a vacuum cleaner.

A dust separation dust collection unit 8 comprises: a dust collection container 39 of a first separation section 35 of a centrifugal separation system; a second separation section 36 that is coupled to one end portion of the dust collection container 39, surrounds a periphery of an avoidance area 63 interposed on an extended line of a centerline of the dust collection container 39 and causes air flowing in from the first separation section 35 to flow-out toward a non-coupled end portion side; an exhaust tube 37 that runs from the non-coupled end portion side of the second separation section 36 toward the first separation section 35, enters the avoidance area 63, is bent in a direction intersecting therewith, and exhausts the air to an exhaust port 83 disposed in parallel to the second separation section 36; a cover 38 that has a top board 87 opposite to the exhaust tube 37 and covers the exhaust tube 37; a recess portion 88 recessed toward the avoidance area 63; and a hand hook portion 86 for partitioning off a gap 95 that is opened so as to be able to insert/extract fingers by being operatively associated with the recess portion 88.
