A dwelling house 2 is so constituted that a balcony 12 is provided in one side of a room 11 in an upper floor (second floor), an external wall 2b is provided across an open ceiling space 13 opened from the lower floor (first floor) to the upper floor (second floor), and a window 14 is provided in the external wall 2b facing to the room 11. A multiple dwelling house is constituted similarly by horizontally connecting a plurality of the dwelling houses 2 together. This constitution allows a person staying the room 11 of the dwelling house 2 to take a view of the outside of the house 2 from the window 14 through the opening ceiling space 13, secures the daylighting and draft relative to the room 11 from the balcony 12 side, and secures the daylighting and draft from the window 14 side through the opening space so as to sufficiently secure the daylighting and the draft relative to the room 11 from both sides of the room 11.
