To provide a dwelling house with a deck garden that is constructed in a small area in the southeast or southwest corner lot, capable of admitting full daylight into a building while securing its privacy from roads, and creating a bright, open image of a dwelling house without enclosedness.

The dwelling house is built in a small southeast corner facing an east road ER and a south road SR. The building is formed in the shape of U that is open to the east in plan view and a wood deck WD that can be accessed from the interior of the building via sweeping windows 4a, 5a, 8a and 8b is positioned inside the U-shape and provided at the same level as the floor height of the building. A vestibule 1, a garage 3 and a Japanese-style room 4 are arranged on the south side of the building facing the south road SR.
