Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a dye which gives an ink used for ink jet printing, excellent in delivery performance over a long period of time and capable of realizing highly reliable printing.
CONSTITUTION: C.I. Reactive Blue 15 dye treated so that the absorbance in the visible light spectrum on the aqueous 30ppm solution satisfies the formula A/B≥1.70 [wherein A is the maximum absorbance(abs) between 660 and 680nm, and B is that between 600 and 630nm]. The treatment is effected by, for example, subjecting the dye solution of a pH of 7 to 8 to ultrasonic waves.
