Abstract:
To provide a dye ink for ink jet recording, excellent in light resistance, granularity and gloss, an ink jet cartridge made by using the same, an ink jet image recording method, and an ink jet recording image.
The dye ink for ink jet recording contains at least one kind of fine colored particles selected from those comprising a dye-containing resin, those comprising a resin coated with a dye, and those comprising a dye- containing resin coated with a resin, and which is characterized in that the fine colored particles have an average zeta potential of -10 to -150 mV and a polydispersity index (PDI), represented by the formula (1): PDI=(D90-D10)/D50, of 1.0 or lower.
