The dye-sensitized solar battery 100 comprises: an action electrode 1; a counter electrode 2 opposed to the action electrode 1; and an electrolyte 4 located between the action electrode 1 and the counter electrode 2. The action electrode 1 has: a transparent conductive substrate 5; a first porous oxide semiconductor layer 6 formed on a face of the transparent conductive substrate 5 on the side of the counter electrode 2, and including first oxide semiconductor particles; a wiring part 8 provided on the face of the transparent conductive substrate 5 on the side of the counter electrode 2, to be spaced apart from the first porous oxide semiconductor layer 6, and surround the first porous oxide semiconductor layer 6; and a second porous oxide semiconductor layer 7 formed in contact with the transparent conductive substrate 5 to cover a gap region between the wiring part 8 and the first porous oxide semiconductor layer 6, and including second oxide semiconductor particles. The average particle diameter of the second oxide semiconductor particles is larger than the average particle diameter of the whole first oxide semiconductor particles that the first porous oxide semiconductor layer 6 includes.
