To provide a dye-sensitized solar cell for efficiently recovering electric power obtained by optical power generation through a current collecting conductor on a second substrate side and having a structure advantageous to area enlargement.
The dye-sensitized solar cells 1, 201 each include a first substrate 13, a second substrate 20, a translucent conductive layer 14, a semiconductor electrode 15, a catalyst electrode 23, a current collecting conductor 42, a plurality of relay connectors 51, a resin protection part 121, and the like. The current collecting conductor 42 is arranged so as to be insulated from the catalyst electrode 23 by the second substrate 20. The plurality of the relay connectors 51 are particulate matter having a solder layer 52 on the surface and insulated from the catalyst electrode 23 between the first substrate 13 and the second substrate 20 and arranged in a point-like state, and electrically connect the translucent conductive layer 14 and the current collecting conductor 42. The resin protecting part 121 separates the solder layer 52 from an electrolyte 33 by individually surrounding the plurality of the relay connectors 51. The plurality of the relay connectors 51 are joined to the current collecting conductor 42 by melting and solidifying of the solder layer 52.
