Abstract:
To provide a dye-sensitized solar cell high in initial photoelectric conversion efficiency and excellent in light resistance and heat resistance.SOLUTION: A dye-sensitized solar cell includes a photoelectrode, an electrolyte layer and a counter electrode, in this order. The electrolyte layer contains an iodide and a solvent, the solvent includes glycol ether represented by the following formula (I), and at least one of the photoelectrode and the counter electrode includes an ultraviolet absorption layer. In the formula (I), one of R1 and R2 is a hydrogen atom while the other is an alkyl group having a carbon number of 1 or more and 3 or less, and n is an integer of 2 or more and 5 or less.
