To provide a dyeing method for dyeing cloth, paper or the like with a pear tree dye undiluted solution (extract), by which the cloth, the paper or the like can be dyed with the dye based on the raw material of the pear trees in a desired color having been not obtained.

The dyeing method using the pear tree extract includes heating chips obtained by crushing pear trees in an amount of 100 to 400% based on the weight of a material to be dyed, with hot water, filtering the pear dye undiluted solution decocted in the above step, primarily dyeing the material to be dyed with the filtered pear dye undiluted solution, immersing the dyed cloth, the paper or the like in a dye-fixing solution produced by adding a dye mordant for promoting the fixing of the dye to the cloth, the paper or the like to a prescribed amount of water, and then drying the dyed cloth, paper or the like. Thus, the cloth, the paper or the like can be dyed in complicated colors different from the undiluted color and having been not obtained with conventional extracts based on other plants.
