The dynamic bearing device 1 includes: a shaft member 2 having a shaft part 2a and a flange part 2b; a bearing sleeve 8 disposed to an outer periphery of the shaft part 2a; and a housing 7 which has a side part and a bottom part 7c, and in which the bearing sleeve 8 is fixed to an inner periphery thereof. In relative rotation of the shaft member 2 and the housing 7, first and second thrust bearing clearances are formed to axially both sides of the flange part 2b. A shoulder face 7d1 is formed integrally with the housing 7 to be axially engaged with a lower end face 8b of the bearing sleeve 8. A position in an axial direction of the shoulder face 7d1 is managed according to an upper end face 2b1 of the flange part 2b when the clearance width between the second thrust bearing clearance is zero.
