Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make it possible to easily remove solid material from liquid material by providing a pipecross-like chamber with a deflector/separator plate to separate the solid material from the liquid material and removing the solid material clogged in the holes of this separator plate by injection of high-pressure fluid. CONSTITUTION: The pipecross-like chamber 10 having an upper main outlet 12, a lower main outlet 14, a horizontal main fluid intake port 16 and a horizontal pump side fluid outlet 18 is provided with the deflector/separator plate 20 to separate the solid material from the fluid. A means of which one end passes the outlet 12 and is communicated with the outer side of the chamber 10 is formed in a shear jet forming means 22 which is arranged along the outlet 12 on its coaxial line, is sealed into the outlet 12 and forms the slender shear jet to be accepted therein. The other end of this means 22 terminates at the inside of the chamber 10 and creates a perpendicular flow heating toward the outlet 14 within the chamber 10. Consequently, the solid material may be easily removed from the liquid material.
